Keeper Forcefield is a service available with the Keeper Desktop application (v17.2+) for Windows operating systems.
Keeper Forcefield is an advanced endpoint security product for Windows that protects sensitive applications and processes from unauthorised access. When applications are running under the same user account, there are situations where those applications can read the contents of the memory of others, which, when considering the sensitive nature of passwords and credentials, isn't generally a good thing!
Keeper Forcefield prevents reading the memory of specific protected applications, but still allows the native operating systems components to continue operating normally.

The Technical Bits
How Forcefield Works
On Windows, applications running under the same user account can access each other's memory, creating a vulnerability that attackers often use to extract sensitive information like passwords and session data. Forcefield blocks this type of memory access at the kernel level, stopping even low-privilege malware from spying on protected applications, while maintaining a seamless user experience.
- Kernel-Level Protection
Forcefield installs a lightweight driver that monitors and restricts memory access to protected applications. - Selective Memory Restriction
Blocked unauthorised processes from reading the memory of protected applications. - Smart Process Validation
Only untrusted processes are blocked while trusted system processes function normally. - Seamless Integration
Forcefield works silently in the background without disrupting the user experience.
