How to create a M365 Global Administrator

NOTE: You will need a Microsoft 365 Global Administrator account to be able to do this.

1. Browse to https://admin.microsoft.com
2. Login with your Microsoft 365 Global Administrator user
3. In the panel on the left hand side, select 'Users' > 'Active Users'
4. Select 'Add a User'
5. Enter the required user details:
6. Select 'Next'
7. Select 'Create user without product license'
8. Select 'Next'
9. In Optional Settings', select 'Roles' > 'Admin center access' > 'Global Administrator'
10. Select 'Next'
11. Select 'Finish Adding'
12. By selecting 'Show' next to the password field, you will be able to view the password which was set for the user account.
13. If creating a Lineal account, send the details to Lineal who will change the password upon receipt to a secure passphrase, implement multi-factor authentication and securely store the login credential
